How MycoGold® works and why it’s effective

Mycorrhizal Fungi:

Mycorrhizal fungi are beneficial fungi that form a symbiotic relationship with the roots of plants, including potatoes. The mycorrhizal fungi attach themselves to the root hairs of the potato plant, increasing the root absorption area up to 1000 times more than an untreated plant. The mycorrhizal fungi with the growth of hyphae or “root hairs”, allow for more efficient uptake of Moisture and Nutrients making it the most robust grass in the fields. This results in a much more robust potato plant with efficient water and nutrient uptake.

Beauveria Bassiana:

Beauveria Bassiana is a naturally occurring fungus that grows endophytically through the potato plant, defending against soil-borne pathogens, disease, and potato insect pests including beetles. By introducing Beauveria Bassiana to your potato plants, you can reduce the need for harmful pesticides and protect your crops against a range of pests.

Azospirillum/Azotobacter/Rhodopseudomonas palustris:

These bacteria help generate nitrogen for non-legumes, which potatoes are. Nitrogen is a vital nutrient for plant growth, and by providing the potato plant with nitrogen through these bacteria, the plant can grow stronger and healthier.

Bio Stimulants:

Application Methods

MycoGold® Liquid for potatoes is a biological potato seed inoculant or in-furrow treatment. Mix MycoGold® Liquid seed treatment and Complex Bio-Carb together with nonchlorinated water and apply directly on seed pieces or in-furrow.
